Our Story — Petit Tribe

Plain. Patterns. Prints.

From the heart of Africa, we bring you designs that show our uniqueness as a people.

Our love for earth, and our unbridled love for Africa has inspired us to give back to a people who has brought us this far with their art and ingenuity.

We've been at it since 2015.

For 6 years, we've empowered women – progenitors of every born African. And children, heralds of the African dream.

We're enablers of good living. By supporting kids with clothes, food, and an improved education, we ultimately give them a chance at a better future.

We are also passionate about helping the average African woman succeed in a fashion-centric career.

To this, we donate one percent of our annual sales to the Petit Tribe Foundation.

Every child who wears Petit Tribe in the future will help sponsor the education of another boy or girl in the cities, towns and villages of Nigeria.

We're not perfect. We know the struggle. We've seen it happen.

Shopping the best clothes for your kids can be a hassle sometimes.

After all, this struggle is how the Petit Tribe was born. I was pregnant with my daughter when I had an Aha! moment.

Growing up in Nigeria gave me an insight to the uniqueness and individuality of our people.

I could see it on every swirl of the Àdìre lines; the intricate motif and prints on the Akwete; and the distinct blend of pattern and prints on the Hausa Kaftan.

These vibrant patterns and prints form the basis of our Anglo-African brand — made with precision, craft and love.

Our motivation is you, and a dozen other mothers in need of affordable clothing for their kids, that reminds them of home.

We're here for people like you as you search for something different.

Let's bring you home to Africa, a place that inspires us all.
